Just Like That!

the brink

It is quiet a view of the skyline, from the 35th floor. Not often am I so high, literally in the right sense. Tiny snippets moving along, to their destination. It was like watching the world through a hidden glass, in this case a real one.

Far from being deep in thought, numbness is often what occupies my mind. As He entered the room, little reluctant to break my contemplation, He balked for a moment, then intimated me of his presence. He is Indecisiveness. What makes glass windows make people go Socrates!

What's on the mind?

A few hours later I looked up at the specimen. It was a fine art. In fact one of the many. I still missed something.

Few hours elapsed and a sibling glass window on the opposite side of the river had me on the other side. It was a carnival of people jumping in, striking the anvil. Numbness was my other good friend for the day.

When people in history, thought of declaring a war, it altered the course of so many countries, families and fortunes. Mostly for the worse.

But I have no idea how they get the guts/nerves to make a decision. I had trouble deciding which street to take next. Randomly I chose one.

I looked back and it vanished into thin air. I was walking slowly, but I was leaving it behind in memoirs quicker than in sight.

I never dreamt of landing on certain places, streets in my wildest imagination. Yet I did not have the heart to capture the flashes, when I actually did land there.

On my way, a portrait acquired form.
The king sought the country, but the little region oscillated in him. Something was not right in the scheme of things. His country ally would be livid after all this. But that was how history was supposed to be. The portrait did not have any more description.

I thought it missed the path somewhere, possibly a little anachronous too.

I was leaving the horizon, and knew that the numbness won't be followed by an easy time. However everyone has to stand at the brink of something sometime, so insignificant it may seem to the world.

Human beings pass through moments. Someone has gone through worse, and some continue to go through the worst...

At every turn of life, a brink awaits. a brink which craves for decisive voices. a brink which expects a magical step. a brink which makes you weary in the mind. a brink, which you think could have been avoided, only when you face it. a brink which wants to trigger your own voice. a brink, life has presented once again.. No different in intensity than the ones you faced as a kid..

The brink awaits.. Let it so for the moment... it’s a matter of time before it passes and you’ll look back with a smile at the dot..

stolen light

two mates, broke and penurious, for four quarters
lived hand to mouth barely, nothing for the charters;
one, plagued by mediocre education, hence esteem
other, dreamt of a retailer, only to be in this bustee.

the day, when no jobs accepted the countenance,
the day, when café coffee day left him to deface,
the day, when life stunk and was taking its toll,
the dismay crept in, realizing never could he be a droll.

that day, tenancy was on the threshold of a threat,
that night, even the stars ridiculed them on the face,
hurling abuses at the upward sky, he tried to berate
only for Him to divinely intervene, and take up the case.

After the convincing, when belief said he was indeed Him,
15 days, He said, identify who was responsible for their plight;
what made him the superior species, with the galaxy light,
He reasoned, every day, leading every instant, on work the shim.

when asked, what the crystal of galaxy light was, the glimmer,
He pointed out a lizard, staring at a sophisticated energy tube,
Said, human the higher species, lizard’s ignorance the lube,
the human, the lizard, and Him, for us, the Human.

15th day unfolded, when He thought, lessons are in place,
the human we are, they fled with the soulful galaxy light;
rendered a mere human was He, facing atrocities of Life,
rendered powerful, thought snipping the light was an ace.

reason, being philosophy is ‘Easier said than Done’,
they wanted Him to know, what life is as it offers to be;
He had the light, but for us, Life is always a Koan,
to realize, words that ‘Every mind for itself’ is so webby.

as they tried to abuse the light for personal gains,
family, friends and office, backfired with a black luck;
the abyss of ill-earned paper, sunk them in chains,
old life seemed better, the Light only got them into a guck.

the other Hand, was making progress as a human afresh,
earning respect, way of life and from webby to a mesh;
awaiting them the next day, He smiled on the human mind,
sure enough, He thought overlays our pure thinking a black rind.

battered and bruised, light no good, they returned to Him
no words, no obligations, He just smiled at them, He knew all;
got on with their normal lives, with hard work their only Kin,
some few moments, it was just an offering of his Elysian meal.

far ahead, some others, hurtled questions on their existence. He looked at the sky, and whispered, it’s time to GO, another case.

I saw a slightly different native movie last week.
the above is based on its story-line. a bit refreshing movie it was.. the movie is named ‘Arai-En 305il Kadavul’ (never mind what you read it as, it means 'God in Room No: 305')

fond being

restless, nervous, indecisive, fluttering inside,
jitters, frightened, shivering, churning inside;
shaken, intimidated, tense, sullen, morose, inside
lamentable circle of thoughts, so blank outside.

frustrated, angry, depressed, and jealous for long,
discontent, dogged, bullied, spoon fed, for long,
undone, livid, flustered, thrusted, upset for long
dour circle of thoughts, outside a soothing gong.

rattled, perturbed, sleepless, parched all the while,
glum, moody, monotonous, grim, sick of, all the while,
lethargic, couched, annoying, impossible all the while,
dumb circle of thoughts, outside there is a guile.

dull, boring, draggy, sloppy, weary every instant,
irksome, damping, blunt, ho-hum, sloppy every instant,
deadening, pesky, chafing, so nettling, every instant,
queasy circle of thoughts, but appearance a good brisant.

hideous, repugnant, evil, acrid, pathetic to the core,
grumpy, scornful, uneasy, hapless, low-down to the core,
scummy, polluted, corrupt, paltry, woeful to the core,
petty, blind circle of thoughts, the being awful to the core.

unproblematic, funny, modest, moments with child's circle of thoughts.
ignorance, innocence, humor and need what for a good circle of thoughts.
